Who: Cesar and Tony

'Tony, I have some basic results. Could you come over for a second set of samples?'

It's not exactly a forthcoming message, especially after weeks of nothing. There's no explanation for the constant stream of excuses that've kept him away from the other Locke refugees. There's nothing that speaks of their shared suffering or hopes in the impersonal request. For all the invitation it is, it could just as easily have been a text between strangers.

Cesar doesn't dwell on it. If he does, he might remember to regret it, and that's something to be avoided at all costs.

[6/30/16, morning and afternoon | open | Shepherd's Haven: town hall]
It's been apparent for the last few days, but Winter is planning something. Something big, by the looks of it, and by the fact that she seems to have gotten together the supplies to cook for a large portion of Shepherd's Haven all at once. Large amounts of sugar appear to be involved. Over the next few days, it becomes apparent that it's some kind of celebration, as she's dragooned anyone who will help into making sure her plans go smoothly. Decorations begin to go up in open space in the town hall, and Winter disappears for chunks of time, refusing to speak to anyone (especially Lily) about where she went. Sometimes she returns with packages and spirits away with them before anyone can ask what's inside; sometimes she returns with people. It's quite unusual, really.

But Thursday morning dawns, and everything seems to come together all at once. She's produced a fancy dress from somewhere, a rich blue that's elegant without calling lots of attention to her, and it seems like Winter's made sure every little thing is perfect. She's commandeered the town hall for the morning and early afternoon, with tables and food set up - nowhere else is big enough to support a gathering of a bunch of people. Banners and decorations claim it's someone's birthday, and given who's putting all this effort in, it's probably Lily's. It feels like Winter's never in the same place for more than a few minutes as the morning wears on, but there's a big smile on her face, and it gets even bigger when she spots the person she'd put all this together for. Seeming to appear by her side, she clings to Lily the whole afternoon with a satisfied, mildly tired air the whole while.

The whole afternoon, Winter roams the party - and, at points, the village - with a camera, taking pictures of everyone that'll cooperate. Every once in a while, she passes it to someone else so she can be in one. The result is the story of a day told through hundreds of moments, and she's talking about heading into Christchurch and starting a scrapbook. There'll be a lot of space for memories - are you among them?

Hello! Thank you so much for joining us at this little in-between musebox to play out those scenes you've really been wanting to while we make Raise the Earth the game it can be! Good things take time and we appreciate your patience so much during this cooldown period, but in the meantime, have fun with this community!

This musebox is set between June of 2015 and June of 2016. Depending on when you set your logs in that time frame, the world is in a shaky precipitous state, so please judge accordingly regarding what your character owns, builds, purchases, etc. If you have any questions about what's possible, please comment on this post under this header.

1. This musebox is open to established characters whose apps were accepted in Save the Earth to resolve or bridge storylines between the two games. Membership is therefore moderated and will need to be approved. Furthermore, all of Save the Earth's rules apply here, so please be mindful!

2. This musebox is canon; this is not a place to play out smut for the lulz or explore what-if scenarios. If you're playing it here, it's because you want it to be a part of your character's history when you app at Raise the Earth, so please consider the choices you make for your character carefully!
